About
From a Family Tradition to a Canadian Favorite
Our Story
When we first arrived in Canada, we couldn’t find fresh samanoo — a beloved Persian tradition we had always made at home. So in our first year, just for ourselves and close family, we made 20 kilograms of homemade samanoo in our kitchen.
It was far more than we could eat, so we gifted some to friends and relatives. To our surprise, everyone loved it. The feedback was overwhelming — “You have to make this again next year. We’ll buy it from you!”
That encouragement sparked something in us. The following year, we began making samanoo in larger batches. Every year, demand grew. We invested in professional equipment and refined our process with care and love, preserving the authenticity of the traditional recipe
By our sixth year, right here in Toronto, we produced over 3,000 kilograms of samanoo — all handmade, all natural. Even before Nowruz arrived, we sold out. In fact, if we had made 3,000 kilograms more, we could have sold that too
Today, Sima Samano has become a household name among the Iranian-Canadian community, celebrated for its purity, taste, and heartwarming tradition. What started as a gift from our kitchen is now a growing business with deep roots in culture and connection
